How to Design Like a Coach

Blow up your design approach and coach instead. Here's what I mean:

  1. Goal-Driven Clarity: Cut through the client BS. What's the real aim behind the design?

  2. Probing Questions: Ditch the yes-no nonsense. Get your clients thinking and talking.

  3. Client-Solution Perspective: Flip the script. How would they solve it? Expose biases and educate.

  4. Masterful Listening: Shut up and listen. It's not just about talking; it's about understanding.
